Consignment Policy
Our Consignment Policy limits the acceptance of items that we'll ultimately process for consignment. At Indiya's Consignment Boutique, our Consignors are considered very important to us. We do our best to make sure that we do not take advantage of our working relationship.
It is our hope at Indiya's Consignment Boutique that our Consignors understand that we simply want to do the best we can to continue to offer them (Consignors) the opportunity to sell their carefully selected items through our store. Without our Consignors bringing in carefully selected items, our business may not succeed.
Unsold Items Disposition:
At Indiya's Boutique, we take pride in offering a curated and rotating inventory for our customers. To ensure freshness and space efficiency in our store, we ask all consignors to review and acknowledge the following policy regarding unsold items:
Consignment Duration: All items are consigned for an initial period of 60 calendar days from the date they are made available for sale in-store or online.
Item Pickup Requirement: If any consignment items remain unsold at the conclusion of the 60-day consignment period, it is the consignor's responsibility to arrange pickup of these items within 5 business days following the expiration of the consignment term.
Donation Policy for Unclaimed Items: Any items not retrieved within the specified timeframe will be considered abandoned and will be donated at the discretion of Indiya's Consignment Boutique to a local charity or non-profit organization. No further notice will be provided.
No Compensation for Donated Items: Once items are donated, no compensation or claim can be made for those items. Consignors waive any rights to proceeds or possession beyond the stated pickup period.
We Accept:
Jewelry (fine and costume)
Accessories: purses, wallets, scarves and glove
Clothing on a walk-in basis
What to Expect:
No appointment necessary, however please come when you have 15-20 minutes to wait
Staff will go through your clothing while you are waiting, if the store is not busy.
We will not accept more than 25 pieces at one time
Accepts items by appointment - please call 217/679-1108 to setup your time
Items are to be brought in Rubbermaid-like totes with proper fitting lids
You may bring in two totes with each appointment. (Maximum 32-gallon totes each)
Clothing Accepted on a Seasonal Rotation:
Spring & Summer: February - July
Fall & Winter: August - January
Consignment Items Must:
Be floor ready
Must be new or slightly used
Free of odors (example: perfumes, soap, storage, pet, tobacco, vitamin and etc.)
No spots, tears, missing buttons, or broken zippers
All pieces must be functioning
Clothing must be freshly laundered and neatly folded
No hangers please
Cosigners:
Consignment merchandise is accepted through appointments or walk-ins. We will place your merchandise up for sale in the store and determine the price. We reserve the right to reprice merchandise at any time. We will keep clothing through the appropriate season and reduce prices during our sales.
Items are consigned for 60 days.
Will receive 40% of the selling price of the merchandise
